About the Role:
If you enjoy solving technical challenges, working with advanced industrial robotics, and building strong relationships with customers, this role is for you. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing, repairing, and improving complex industrial systems — both on-site and over the phone. This position requires frequent travel — expect to be on the road at least 50% of the time to support customers nationwide.

NOVA is growing and the Automation Service Technician, Robot Programmer role is instrumental in ensuring NOVA Automation's customers are successfully operating NOVA equipment in their production environments. The Service team, based in Denver, CO is responsible for programming, commissioning, upgrading, servicing, and troubleshooting our deployed robotic automation and packaging systems both in-person and remotely. NOVA's Service team is committed to delivering measurable value to our customers and to continually expand that value through improvements to our solutions and processes. What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in industrial environments.
- Read, interpret, and adjust PLC programs to resolve issues and enhance performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.
- Service and maintain industrial robotics systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers both in person and remotely.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Represent the company with professionalism, technical expertise, and a customer-first approach.
- Solid experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with industrial robotics, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time (regional and national).
