The position is responsible for bandsaw and other fabricator tools, material prep, and painting. The operator ensures the accurate and safe operation of their tools, performs basic maintenance and cleaning, and adheres to all safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Do:
Welding Job Requirements
- Proven experience performing GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Demonstrated ability to weld large equipment, heavy structural frames, and thick-gauge materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions
- Experience working to tight tolerances and maintaining dimensional accuracy on large assemblies
- Proficient in setting up and operating MIG and TIG welding machines, including adjusting voltage, amperage, and wire feed speed
- Experience with multi-pass welds, fillet welds, groove welds, and full-penetration welds
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, grinders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes
- Knowledge of proper joint preparation, beveling, fit-up, and clamping techniques for large assemblies
- Ability to perform welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
- Experience with fixture setup and welding large components to minimize distortion
- Ability to inspect welds visually and with basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares)
- Understanding of weld quality standards and ability to meet production and quality requirements
- Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and cleaning work area.
- Safely handle raw materials and finished parts using forklifts, hoists, or manual methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors
- Report missing material to supervisor for purpose to get material on order.
- To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.
- To work in other departments and locations as and when required.
- To be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including weekends sometimes at short notice.
- Performs other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission and abide by the values of the organization.
- Unloading material using a Forklift.

- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good literacy & numeracy skills.

- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Forklift operator experience
- Experience with power tools and saws.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 7 year’s hands on experience with MIG and TIG welding large machinery and frames, more experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measuring instruments.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic math and measurement conversions (inches to millimeters, fractions, decimals).
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Experience working with or moving heavy metals a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 + lbs. repetitively.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing or shop floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
- Warm working temperatures during the summer months.
- May require working overtime or weekends depending on production needs.
