Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM, M-F

Compensation: $110,000 – 130,000 annually

Are you a proven engineering leader who thrives on driving innovation and developing high-performing teams? NOVA Automation, a leader in custom automation systems for packaging and material handling, is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee and grow our talented engineering department.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical, electrical, and applications engineers.
  • Oversee design and documentation of custom automation systems including bagging, palletizing, and wrapping equipment.
  • Ensure projects meet customer requirements, quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Review CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation to maintain engineering excellence.
  • Manage engineering schedules in collaboration with project management and support customer-facing project meetings.
  • Administer the Product Data Management (PDM) system to ensure accuracy and control of engineering documentation.
  • Partner with vendors, production, and service teams to troubleshoot, integrate, and improve designs.
  • Establish and implement departmental initiatives, best practices, and continuous improvement standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, CAD systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and engineering documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical/controls design.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects from concept to release.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

NOVA is growing and the Automation Service Technician, Robot Programmer role is instrumental in ensuring NOVA Automation's customers are successfully operating NOVA equipment in their production environments. The Service team, based in Denver, CO is responsible for programming, commissioning, upgrading, servicing, and troubleshooting our deployed robotic automation and packaging systems both in-person and remotely. NOVA's Service team is committed to delivering measurable value to our customers and to continually expand that value through improvements to our solutions and processes.
